College Admissions Consulting
Each year, we help 10th to 12th grade students navigate the college admissions landscape. Our focus is on fit - the right schools for each applicant. Our services are driven by an informed approach at the outset - helping families manage the tasks that become the key components of an admissions decision. Here are those components, and how we can help:
essay guidance
From Common App essays to supplements, we guide students toward narratives that reveal to admissions offices what the test scores and transcripts do not - the whole person, the application that will stand out.
college counseling
We help students build a college list that takes into account academic goals and personal fit, as well as more strategic factors such as selectivity and testing policy.
ADMISSIONS MANAGEMENT
In our first sessions, we create a schedule of admissions tasks. In subsequent meetings, we manage each aspect of the admissions process, advising you on test prep schedules, a robust college list, tours and visits, interviews, and everything in between.
standardized testing
We advise applicants on an ideal test prep schedule that works around extracurricular activities and helps them maximize their opportunities for the highest scores they can achieve. Plus, we provide the prep - just the right amount, to get us to the score ranges we need.
transcripts
For sophomores and juniors, we recommend courses to take - areas to develop and subjects to avoid. We help seniors anticipate what their transcripts reveal to admissions officers.
extracurriculars
We assess our students’ accomplishments thus far, and what could help admissions offices get a broader sense of their passions and commitments outside the classroom.
Decision advisement
Many students end up with several options for colleges admissions. We will weigh your options with you, discuss final notes, and ease any anxieties that come along with making such an important decision.
